UH Homecoming Plans

UH has announced Carl Lewis as homecoming chair/team captain and the return of a REAL LIVE cougar!
This is from an UH athletics email I received:
Greetings,
After three weeks on the road, your 17th-ranked Houston Football team returns home to take on the SMU Mustangs this weekend at Robertson Stadium for Homecoming 2009. Kick-off for Saturday’s game is set for 6:30 p.m. The excitement around the program continues to build and this week had another milestone, appearing in the BCS standings for first time in school history.
Homecoming 2009 “Eyes on the Pride†features:
- The return of a live Cougar! Shasta will be in the homecoming parade and on display outside Robertson Stadium at Gate 11 until kick-off.
- Nine-time Olympic Gold Medalist Carl Lewis will serve as our Honorary Homecoming Chair and Honorary Team Captain for the game. The first 5,000 fans will receive a commemorative Pulse of the Pride Carl Lewis poster.
You won’t want to miss a single minute of the festivities. For those who don’t have tickets, only a few thousand remain. To get your tickets, click here or call the ticket office during normal business hours at 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647).
As excitement builds for this weekend’s game, we offer the following reminders:
- Show your Texas hospitality by being a good host to visiting fans, players, coaches and officials and demonstrate good sportsmanship – win or lose.
- Cheer loudly and remember to respect the right of all fans to enjoy a safe atmosphere.
- If you choose to drink alcohol, please know your limit and stay well under it.
