Run Defense Rank:

Tulsa 32
Marshall 89
(SMU 96)
Tulane 104
Rice 112
UTEP 114
Houston 115

Will be curious to see if McNeal can get to 1000 yards given he's halfway there now.

FYI, here is what runners have done against Houston this year. Hopefully he can have a big game Saturday. :P

NWST Castille - 8 rush 12 yds (1.5 avg)

OKST Johnson - 9 rush, 82 yds (9.1 avg), td
OKST Toston - 10 rush, 66 yds (6.6 avg), td

Interesting perspective. Plus running the ball usually takes pressure off the QBs.

Would someone please forward the UTEP stats to JJ? Maybe we could throw the ball just a little less in Cougar Town.

Seriously, if McNeal starts to burn the Coug D, then let's control the clock and keep their offense off the field. We cannot afford to go 3 and out, and run like 15 seconds off the clock.

It isn't just our coaches, but I am amazed at the speed with which coaches (college and pro) seem to abandon the run in games these days. Seems like every coach treats a 10 point deficit in the second quarter as if it were a 14 point deficit with 10 minutes left.

Mike Price may have saved his job by bucking the trend and doing the opposite.

I keep missing that Courtney Cox show. Is it any good? I know she's worth watching.

UTEPs QB did well vs. UH also. RUN and PASS is what we need.
