According to this map you pretty much stay on 45. Then exit right before the stadium which doesn't look too far off of 45. Doesn't seem too difficult.

To coog fans. If I just show up at the game think I can get a ticket? Also do you think I can get a ticket in the visitors section?

IF it were me, I exit Cullen or Scott Street.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I am staying out by the Galleria. Looks like to me I can get on Richmond going east and this turns south and becomes Wheeler, which I can follow all the way to Green public parking (wheeler and cullen). Anyone know if this is a bad idea other than the fact Wheeler runs right through the middle of the Texas Southern campus.

Your Richmond to Wheeler to campus (via TSU) route is feasible but highly impractical. That trip would take you approximately 45 minutes given the number of lights you will hit compounded with surface traffic. On top of that, I am not sure that the Richmond to Wheeler junction is as direct as your map source might show. Your better option would be to get on the 610 west loop heading south from the Galleria (Enter at San Felipe or Westheimer) and then take US-59 east towards downtown. Just before downtown (and after the junction with SH-288), take I-45 south towards Galveston and exit at Cullen. Turn right on Cullen and head south, through the light at Elgin and then take a left at campus entrance no. 16 (no light). Park in one of the surface lots to your left for $5 and you are about a 7 minute walk to the Rob.
Here's to a great game with no injuries.

UH duck guy, where is the tailgate area? i.e. which side of the stadium? I can't tell you how many times I've spent pregame for away games roaming around trying to find the MC gathering.

And, since it's early and I have the board to myself, if you're feeling generous how about the best route coming from IAH?

After leaving IAH and getting on south bound 45 the directions to UH would be the same as the ones he gave me. According to the UH website, the tailgate area is on the Scott side of the stadium towards Holman street. Looks like the north east side of the stadium. There is public parking in two locatiions. Blue parking that is off Cullen near 45 and green parking which is a little to the south of Cullen on Wheeler. The Wheeler green lot looks a little closer to the stadium on the map. Looks like Scott runs east and west on the north side of the stadium and Cullen runs east and west on the south side.

Mustang Club Tailgate located in Tailgate Village on the west side of Robertson Stadium off of Scott Street. We are in the large lot, just adjacent the grassy area. It’s hosted by SMU Alumni Relations and The Mustang Club! Tailgate includes food and beverages for $10.00. Children 8 and under are free.

Here's a map showing where all the tailgating and parking lots are at. The yellow/red lots are the prime areas. Before this season you could pay $20 and park in the yellow lot, but I believe they stopped doing this and only allow people with passes to get in. The blue lot is a good alternative, just a little bit of a walk from the stadium though.

Take the Cullen exit off I-45. You'll go one block and park in the Blue Lot for $5. Walk one block to the stadium. The MC tailgate should be pretty big and situated right where the 12B number is on Mestengo's map. I think you should be able to walk up and get tickets. They will be available on the visiting side as the main season ticket side (west side) is sold out. Go for sections 221 to 225. The visiting tickets were issued in 224/225. 221 is around the 50.

Thanks for the info. Curious, what is on the other side of Scott St. Is there any unofficial "bootleg" parking to be had over there? Probably not

Fast food businesses like Shipley's, BK, etc. For free parking, take Cullen to Calhoun Rd. Take a left and take the first right into the neighborhood. Go 1-2 streets in and a few houses down. It will be a comparable walk to free parking at Ford Stadium. That neighborhood is good. The other side of Scott St. is not.
