A. Robinson certainly does have the "swagger"

Postby MiracleOnMockingbird » Sat Oct 24, 2009 10:31 pm

The TV announcers were right about that part. Whether he has any reason to swagger is another question.

Very disappointing that he has not improved any since the beginning of last year.

I was hoping he was going to be another Sanders, not just a one-dimensional guy.

His injury earlier this year probably had something to do with his performance this year. While Emmanuel is a better overall receiver, Al is a nice speed compliment.

I wish he had the "hands" and "ability to catch the ball".

I thought his catch for a TD was a good catch with a good adjustment.

No doubt that it was, but it should have been his 2nd or 3rd TD of the night.

It didn't look to me that Al had any interest in playing last night. He blew numerous blocking assignments early in the game. He dropped a few catchable balls. We've seen that he has the ability to be a game breaker. Unfortunately, his inconsistency has been more obvious this season.

I mentioned this in the game thread, but I liked that Al waived off whichever player wanted to do a high jump celebration with him after the TD. Shows some awareness that down 2 tds you do not need to be overcelebrating.

Of course, I am relying on the idiot color guy's word that he was waving off the celebration so who knows if that is actually what happened.

He's a lot better than the beginning of last year, and the hamstring and ankle injuries are particularly rough on a guy like Robinson, who is such a thoroughbred/speed guy.
