After watching Tulsa against UTEP, I feel like we have a chance against them. Not if we play like we did tonight, mind you, but we have the talent and the ability to beat them if we put together a complete game and limit our mistakes. Penalties and drops killed any chance for momentum against UH.

Actually the fumbles were worse than the drops.

Tulsa is capable of putting up a lot of points and our defense and special teams have shown they can give up a lot of points. I think the Tulsa and UTEP games, in particular, are going to require our offense to perform much better than it has to this point if we are going to have a chance to win those games

I am very scared of their little speedster. I think he is also a D. Johnson isn't he? Very fast, very elusive. We need to keep him away from the ball, or the ball away from him.

This game should be extremely interesting. Tulsa comes in losers of 2 straight, in which their offense completely stalled.
There are two things that could happen in this game:
1) They will take the week and a half off to correct their mis-haps, and absolutely steam roll us.
2) Their offense continues to sputter.
Please God let it be no. 2.
You're getting my hopes up

With Tulsa losing two in a row and their offense sputtering, you are giving me hope for a win. Cut that out 'cause it will make losing on the road more painful if I begin to believe we have a chance for the upset. I feel like Charlie Brown getting ready to kick the football that Lucy Van Pelt promises she won't move out of the way this time. I'm such a blockhead because I keep falling for the false assurances that we will be better in the next. Never mind, tee it up - here I come.

It is unwise to be overconfident after two defeats in a row of our own. UTEP's victories against Tulsa and Houston came on their own territory. Considering the abilities of these two teams they have claimed victory over, I find the results suspicious. Any result in the American metropolis of El Paso should be considered suspect. Perhaps we will encounter a Tulsa team that looks far different when in their own domain.

Tulsa is beatable. We are however going to need turnovers and prolly a score on defense to get a W. Based on what Ive seen of the Tulsa O-Line, I think our D might be able to make a real impact. Im with myrdel on the fact that Tulsas little speedster is scary. With the shakyness of our QB situation Id say a win is going to be tough.
