I just created this little tool as my brain was hurting with all the possibilities with the future games. Still a little far out to be making accurate predictions of course.

Good job-makes calculations very easy. Interesting- I still think there is chance that SMU gets left out even at 6 wins which was a sceanrio I came up with my submitting my predictions. I came up with 6 teams with 7+ wins. Still too early to tell though I agree. You just know UTEP will blow it-but its more difficult to predict how. It would behoove SMU to beat UTEP in Dallas

If we take care of Rice and Tulane, then UTEP at home is probably the critical game. Both Tulsa and Marshall on the road will be tough. Of course, with only 6 SMU wins, Army not making it to 6 is also critical if I understand the bowl math correctly.

if Army doesn't make it CUSA will have 6 bowls-but also consider SMU could get left out at 6-6 if there are 6 CUSA teams with 7 + wins. But even then an independent bowl bid might be possible.

I came up with 4 teams with 7+ wins which just goes to show that we're still too far out.

Army is 3-5 with games against Air Force, VMI, North Texas and Navy remaining. So decent possibility it will not make 6.

SMU will play in Hawaii with 6 wins - that is a definite, done deal.
Should the coogars lose at Tulsa and/or UCF, AND we run the table, AND we win the conference, then we would forego Hawaii as the CUSA rep for the Liberty Bowl.
Against a 6,7,8 team from the SEC. It keeps getting better.

That's what June Jones said. He was emphatic. I imagine he will elaborate more on this at the Monday luncheon. We can't start packing our bags, though. Everybody knows the misery Rice has dealt us recently. We gotta play our "new-and-improved" brand of football from the opening kickoff.

I really wish they would take into account that most cannot get to hawaii on Christmas Eve...I understand they really love it there, but most would actually like to see the game in person...
If they go to Hawaii, hopefully the Dallas watch party will be fun, because thats where I will have to watch from....

I'd have to watch from home, too, but you can bet your last dime that if the moon and stars align and we somehow win the title, I'll be in Memphis Jan. 2.
