With an excellent performance against the #1 offense in the country this past weekend, including 5 sacks (equalling the number of sacks all year against Houston) and holding the Cougs under 400 yards total offense for the first time this year, the Mustang D improves from #93 to #89 nationally.

Imagine where they'd be if the offense could convert some 3rd downs and keep some drives going?

Somebody should give Mason a raise.

The D has made huge progress while the Offense has yet to find consistancy. Is it possible that we actually become known for our defense in CUSA?

Isn't that the same DC so many folks wanted to run out of town last year?
You're right — Coach Mason has done a great job this year. Defense did a terrific job Saturday against a terrific offense. Imagine how good they'll be in another year or two, when guys like Thompson, Banjo, Reed/Davis/Henderson, etc., are juniors and seniors.
