I like our chances against Tulsa no matter who is at QB

I think Tulsa is a winnable game for us. Go Mustangs.

We have to be able to contain #3 (WR/PR — tiny guy with great speed ... forget his name) to have a chance. That kid is incredible.

Our defense moved up in ratings after playing one of the best offenses in the nation. Now that is impressive. And if our D can continue, we have a very good chance against Tulsa. Perhaps a slightly different QB approach to the offense is just what we need to get the O running. Make a couple of third down conversions and then better opportunities to score present themselves. Special teams have an opportunity to make a huge impact (both for and against us).

somehow Tulsa only got the ball to Dameris Johnson 3 times in their offense against UTEP. I'm thinking they regret that and will really focus on finding ways to get him the ball against SMU.

Good news is that they are a spread offense, so its not a big change from the UH game in terms of prep for the defense.

Did people forget Tulsa should have beat Boise State ? This will be difficult game for our guys, even more so if we have to go with inexperienced QB and weather is bad.

Boise outplayed Tulsa in that game. No doubt this will be a tough game on the road, Id like to know Bo is able to play and play well before I put money on us though.

We'd better hope bo levi is back this week. Padron did well, but doesn't really know how to read the R and S yet, and got by paying sandlot for the most part. Houston figured that out as the game wore on, Tulsa will already know and just blitz the crap out of him

Let's quit sunshining folks. This is SMU. We have not exactly won a lot of road games around here lately. If we do beat Tulsa then let's get ready for our bowl game.

Don't know how much sunshining is going on.

SMU 86 called the game "winnable" — making it a possibility, not a likelihood.
Scoops referred to us "having a chance."
ponyte mentioned "IF" our D can continue.

Other posts just debated those. Optimistic outlooks, sure, but hardly sunshining. It's not like any of them predicted a win.

I like our chances better now than I did before the season started. If our defense plays like it did last weekend and our WRs and quarterback(s) get their head(s) out of their bung hole, we have a good chance.

After watching the Boise game I really think we will do well up there...the Tulsa O line is suspect and can't protect as well as they would like. They have given up 17 sacks so far this season and with our attacking defense we should have a good day...now its just up to our offense to keep its end of the bargain this week. After watching Margus Hunt bulldog the Houstin QB down last week...I think he smells blood like a shark now and is going to be even more dangerous to our foes....
