Right. Usually takes about 24 hours (or more) before those results are known, and he told PonyPride he wasn't even going into get the tests until this afternoon. Hopefully it's good news for his shoulder, regardless of who plays. I'd say that the comments he made to PonyPride about how the pain subsided Sunday have to be seen as encouraging.

if he went in this afternoon, JJ/BLM will know what the radiologist says tonight. Especially if SMU is who picked the imaging center. And if not, they should change imaging centers.

The team's orthopedic surgeon should have looked at it the second the scans printed. No way they don't already have the results.

If the MRI results show that Mitchell can play, does he start with limited or no practice time or does Padron get the nod in Tulsa? I have faith for the Mustangs in Tulsa because of our defense. I think we can pull it out whether its Mitchell or Padron.

That being said, Smith's effectiveness running the ball should warrant a consistent place for his version of the offense whenever, especially in 2nd and 6 & 3rd and 4 type situations.

Tulsa's run defense is considerably better than UH's, which means Braden probably will not be seeing the field very much, if at all.

That maybe true, but it can't hurt for a change of pace.

I completely agree, just repeating what I have heard from "higher ups" in the SMU football chain. In my opinion, I would like to see Shawnbrey out there on 3rd and short to move the chains.

The only trouble is getting predictable. If the D keys on Shawnbrey or if a good D does so, like Tulsa's then that may not work so well.

Why should we alert Tulsa who to prepare for? I say we declare the MRI results are "still pending" for as long as possible.

Don't say anything about the MRI, just state it will depend on how BLM feels. Don't know who's gonna start? Make them prepare for everything/anything. Sounds good to me.
