Q&A with DAN MORRISON

When starting quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell got injured Saturday in Houston, the argument could be made that nobody's work was thrust into the spotlight more than that of assistant head coach/offense Dan Morrison. True freshman Kyle Padron and redshirt freshman Braden Smith took over the reins of the Mustangs' offense, with help from Morrison and head coach June Jones, directing the SMU offense for the rest of the game.
Whether Mitchell's shoulder will allow him to play Saturday afternoon in Tulsa is something Jones said will be determined just before the game. If Mitchell can't play Saturday, Jones has said Padron will start.
Morrison visited with PonyFans.com this week to discuss Padron's development and future and the process of developing quarterbacks. In addition, if Mitchell can't play (and with J.J. McDermott sitting out the season because of NCAA transfer rules), who becomes the Mustangs' third/emergency quarterback?
