I think we are down to 2 fans and a couple of coaches on the board.

We should have a decent crowd for homecoming with Fresno. Of course they will all leave after the Queen is announced. Better than nothing.

At least people know where Fresno is, and a lot of folks have heard of David Carr. I talked last week with someone in the athletic department, and was told they couldn't give tickets away for yesterday's game. The "crowd" at Ford was no surprise to the athletic department. The remaining home games will have better crowds. If nothing else, the entire Bishop Lynch community had better come out to see Chris Phillips play QB. (Hey, there's another idea for the marketing department: Get over to Bishop Lynch and push the home debut of Chris Phillips!)

Homecoming will typically draw about 15k and if Phillips shows us anything next week and the weather cooperates, I would guess fresno might draw slightly more than 15k...maybe 16-17k. The Rice game will draw between 10-14k and TCU will provide a decent crowd for the finale. At least we will average more than 15k this year, but that Boise crowd is one reason we need to leave the WAC (not that ECU or UAB will draw any better). The shame is that Boise may be as good as anyone we play this year, but nobody in Dallas cares.

Boise is not a draw, but the main problem is an ugly, ugly 0-7 record. There were very few families there. Saturday afternoon is a big time for kids atheltics and activities. People are not gonna sacrifice their activities or even attempt to work it in their schedule when you are not competitive. I know, I am starting to make less of an effort. Dallas has too many options for a bad football program to get any attention.

They really need to keep these games at night. Some people don't see so well at night. I'm just saying it couldn't hurt.

You are becoming very stale like those cheesy nachos you get that are just too nasty to eat.

Get over the boise attendance. I am as big a fan as anyone, but I couldn't make the game on Saturday, and wasnt about to break commitments in order to drive up from Austin and watch us get slaughtered. Everyone knew how poorly we matched up with Boise, and that we were going to get killed.

I will definatly be there for the Fresno game though. Hopefully Phillips will show us something!

How did Justin Rogers look in his first start?
