Posted: Sat Oct 31, 2009 4:56 pmI was going to start a thread if someone hadn't. I thought that was about as good a game as a freshman Defensive Player has had at SMU in 25 years. Wow!. He set the tone-rattled Kinne but he also made some big plays downfield which saved big plays. He was outstanding but he had a lot of help today.

Posted: Sat Oct 31, 2009 10:54 pmDavis was great. You could see the athleticism in the fall practices, and knew his time would come. Best game for an outside linebacker at SMU in a hell of a long time. A true difference maker.

He had pretty early offers from Baylor and Louisiana Tech. Then we and Tulsa offered around the same time. Apparently A&M and Tech thought about offering him but never did. Only a 2 star from Rivals.
