JJ has a history of having backup QBs take over

Postby Garret » Sat Oct 31, 2009 5:14 pm

Many seasons in Hawaii the QB that started the season ended up being replaced by the backup, who ended up playing extremely well. It sounds like this has happened with Padron. By the way, in cases like this in Hawaii, the starting QB never got his job back so I'd expect JJ to start Padron the rest of the season if he does not get hurt.

Nick Rolovich came in for Tim Chang and had a simply amazing stretch of games to end a season--I posted his season ending stats here recently and that 5-game stretch was just amazing.

Jason Wheildon came in and led Hawaii to a win over Alabama.

Colt Brennan took over after Tyler Graunke started the first few games.

In PMs and e-mails to some members of ponyfans I mentioned that I thought that Bo was SMU's version of Tim Chang. It looks like that will be the case in more ways than one at SMU...
