On TV when they showed a (non-Hispanic) guy with a serape and a big sombrero on the sideline for whatever reason, I was waiting for Sham to say "Now that guy really IS going to have a taco."

Both announcers were really discombobulated at the start -- as if the regularly scheduled crew had been stuck in traffic and they pulled these two out of the stands to call the game!
I guess I should be glad they focused on the game rather than coming up with a bunch of human-interest anecdotes like some of these guys do.

I like Brad Sham when he interviews the Dallas Cowboys but man he is not a 'play by play' announcer...you talk about the two "masters of the obvious' with comments all day, it was pretty funny after awhile...... the 1310 radio broadcast was about 5 seconds faster so we couldnt use the radio much...

At one point they were discussing how SMU had different packages for different QBs and so did Tulsa, and as they said that, Tulsa put Shavodrick Beaver in at QB. Sham said this:
"Beaver back now, speaking of having packages"

Sham has called Cowboys games for years, you cant expect him to get 'up' for 3-4 smu. I liked the call because they were having fun and not taking themselves too seriously.

Chase Kennemeyer was bugging the crap out of me. Right after halftime, he apologized for calling him the wrong name and never did it again.

Who is Alan Stone?
In 25 years of following football I have never heard of him.

TIVO'd the game since I was in class today, but did anyone notice that one time when they flashed up Padron's name it was spelled with an e? 'Padrone' I had to stop and rewind it, I guess it was too difficult to read off the back of his jersey.

PonyPride and I were rolling our eyes over both of those 'gaffs' while watching the game at 1st & 10! That's what happens when you hire UT grads to run the graphics.
