absolutely...can't ASSUME any win. Hopefully everyone will be jacked up for Homecoming. I'm looking forward to this trip

Rice is really bad. I personally don't think they will win a game this year, but we aren't in a position to get cocky yet. They team needs to enjoy the win until Monday morning, then get down to business preparing for Rice. Just like Tulsa, they have had our number the last few years. We definitely owe them one!

Rice has had our number for years. We have turn Rice into world beaters when we play them

We have allowed tight ends at Rice with one career reception to become a Heisman candidate in one game. We spot Rice 14-17 points and then try to come back. We can't make a 1st and goal from the 1 to beat Rice.

Rice has been a huge mental barrier to SMU for some time. To think that Rice is an easy win is nonsense.

We have to focus and perform at a high level and if the opportunity presents to put Rice away, we have to do it. And our inability to put teams away has cost us two victories already this year. We need to decrease turnovers and improve 3rd down conversions. THe D has to once again produce turnovers and shut Rice down.

Another week with a most win game and another challenge for us to overcome decades of being snake bit.

Yep, the bowl talk is making me nauseous. We got to score one more point than Rice, nuff said

The coaches will have the team focused on Rice. There is NO reason to focus on anything else.

The carrot of possibly playing for the conference title will keep this group grounded. They are doing a good job of building momentum and these coaches, with all their collective NFL experience, will make sure the Ponies take care of Rice.

I'm bringing back some Minnesota wild rice. Really good stuff.

Let's take care of Rice, We don't want another WSU situation. I hope they enjoy the win, they deserve to do so. But I hope they focus [deleted] Rice since Rice have had 2 weeks to prepare for us.

Oklahoma-Nebraska game got picked up for 7:00. I don't have to watch both games at the same time this week. Might even be able to pull off the whole game if I go to Lincoln--if I can find a bar near campus with WiFi!

This is a critical game. SMU is in the process of changing the attitude--something that JJ has discussed--and taking care of Rice is another step in that process. We've been in too many situations where teams "we should have beat" end up beating us.

Like so many, during the 4th quarter of the Tulsa game I was wondering how we were going to lose the game. I'm glad to hear that the team is learning to finish games.
