I was sitting close to his mother at the Navy game when a trainer came up to her at the end of the game and told her it was a high ankle sprain.

This young man is playing hurt. Really hurt and doing whatever he can to help his team.

Glad we have McJunkin with some PT under his belt.

Mitch will continue to man up for as long as he can.

Thanks Mitch.

We have had a lot of injuries on the OL. Isnt Boyd possibly out for god? I keep thinking we need to take some more OL in 2010 but I guess we have 2 incoming greyshirts.

On another thread JJ tweets that the OL is getting thin and guys are really playing hurt...some tough boys out there and Mitch is one of the toughest. Playing with a high ankle sprain in the trenches like he does is extremly painful and there is no help until you have time to rest and that won't happen until after the season.

OK, now that's really funny.

And I agree with BUS — hats off to Mitch Enright. Hasn't he graduated already? And isn't he married? The guy could pack it in, and high ankle sprains are often lengthy rehab deals — nobody would raise an eyebrow. But the guy is as tough as any player I can think of in recent memory. I'm also glad McJunkin has played, but Mitch is a warrior. I'd want that guy on my team any day.

Center Mitch Enright (ankle) will likely sit out of practice this week in an attempt to get him ready for the game. Same for OL Bryce Tennison (stomach pull).

Boyd told me he originally had a knee injury and now he has a back injury that's got him out for the entire year. He said he's going to give it one last shot next year to see if he can come back from the back injury. He didn't seem too optimistic.
