Rice (0-8, 0-4) I think this game may be closer then we all want it to be... honeslty rice is playing for nothing, and we have been in there shoes before. There goal from here on out is to screw up other teams seasons. Starting with their rivals from the north will only fuel the fire. Also two weeks to prepare helsp, but the few extra days Tulsa had to prepare didn't seem to matter. Rice doesn't have the players or the defense that Tulsa had so we should win. food for thought: Rice lost to Okie State and Tulsa by 17 each game. Only team worse on offense is Tulane.

Current Sargin Rating: 171

Defensive Stats
45.5 points per game
469.6 yds/game (2079 passing yards, 1678 rushing)
3 Ints

WIN 5-4 (4-1)

UTEP (3-5)(2-20) Starting with the obvious they barely beat tulsa in el paso. also lost at MEMPHIS. They did however beat a very good Houston team. Food for thought: UTEP has only 1 road win this year and it was against New Mexico State. They now face a 3 game road trip with Tuane, SMU and Rice. They need to win atleast 2 of these road games to become bowl eligible. They should beat Tulane and may start eblieving in themselves and a chance at a bowl game. We need to win this one to keep them out of contention, and keep us on track for 7 wins.THis is the one game I am worried about because they are a well coached team. Their offense is ranked right behind us in CUSA.

Current Sargin Rating: 120

Defensive Stats
33.9 points per game
470.1yds/game (2029passing yards, 1732 rushing)
5 Ints (1TD)

Win (6-4) (5-1)

@ Marshall (5-4) (3-2) Last road game of the year. The only game they were REALLY blown out was against Va TEch. If they beat southern miss next weekend they will also be 1- win away from being (and they have two weeks to prepare for southern miss). They have one of the top defenses in CUSA but their offense is the 3rd worst. I really want to say W here, but I just dont know, a lot will depend on how well kyle progresses

Current Sargin Rating: 78

Defensive Stats
21.0 points per game
388.4 ds/game (2036 passing yards, 1460 rushing)
7 Ints (0TD)

Win (7-4) (6-1) *POP THE CHAMPAGNE*

Tulane (2-6) (0-4) Shoot me now.... thats the way they are probably feeling right now. Their only two wins are against McNeese State and @ army. Thier offense is garbage, the only avg 13.4 points per game ( yes i know they played LSU and some other big schools so i will give u an altered number), In their 4 CUSA games they are averaging 11ppg. We have to win this game. They may want to play spoiler, but they will be finishing up 3 consecutive weeks on the road.

Current Sargin Rating: 148

Defensive Stats
37.4 points per game
413.5ds/game (2029 passing yards, 1732 rushing)
4 Ints (0TD)

Win (8-4) (6-1)

I suggest you look at the UTEP-UAB stats and UTEP - Bufflo stats before saying UTEP will be a giveme, two of their losses were to Texas and Kansas they are better than their record indicates.

UTEP is the most up and down in the conference. They dominate at home and can't even sniff a win on the road (except for NMS). They did play some high caliber teams, but they loose to some bad ones too. This game and the Marshall game scare me the most. Marshall's running back is a stud and our D better come ready to play tough against the run!

all that being said, we have not earned the right to look past anyone. Beat Rice!

I believe we win Rice and Tulane games. Marshall scares me a little more than UTEP - when was the last time we won 3 road games in a season. I believe UTEP is very winnable.
