What I am hoping for on Saturday

I hope that we come out hungry. I hope that we come out focused. I hope that we are up 21-0 after the first quarter and by 5 touchdowns at halftime. I hope that we step on their throats in the second half. I want us to break Rice's will early and then keep going. This is a Rice team that scored 50 something points on us last year and we need to return the favor.

I really hope SMU comes out really hungry and not over-confident!!! Rice has been our biggest nemesis post-dp!!! We have to beat Rice!!! Losing to Rice would reverse all the progress we have made this season!!!

We just need to go out and perform to our ability. If we do that, we're going to be fine. I agree w/ you that we need to come out firing and not let Rice think they can make a game of it.

I hope we stay ahead of Rice but don't get a big early lead. Big early leads have been killer for us. We had a big lead against UAB and almost blew it in the second half. We did manage to blow it against WSU and Navy. Against SFA, Tulsa, and ECU, the close game brought out our best late in those games. I want us to finish strong and win, not get ahead and over confident and blow another big lead. The competition helps us by keeping us focused and playing our best for 60 minutes. The blow outs have hurt us.
Bottom line though,is blowout or close game, all I want is a win.
