It's more about getting the mindset changed and the culture of everything, not just the locker room, not just the kids, but the school, the traditions, everything. It's like re-branding in a way who you are, and you have to change a lot of things."

Keep your rebranding off Peruna! I wonder what is next? The running pony logo?

It has to be a good feeling on campus with the win.

You can check that off the list. The change wasn't big. They moved to the brighter red and blue and away from the darker colors. I'm too lazy to find one of the threads debating Yale blue and Harvard red.

How many shades of blue have we had in recent years?
When JJ had Hawaii winning 10-plus games a year, I assume the uproar wasn't that great over losing the rainbow from the helmet and changing the uniforms to green and black.
I'd love to see the Ponies win 10 games in a season and see if my theory holds true!

He can incorporate black all he wants, but 50 wins a year won't buy him a free pass to change the mascot as far as I am concerned.

This should mean that we'll see a nice story about SMU later in the week on Ch. 8. Getting some good pub this week between the DMN stories and ESPN blogs...
