SMU as an opponent is inferred in the last sentence about #8 WSU

Kinda embarrassing that WSU is 1-7 lol. He mentions that they've only scored more than 20 points once this season. Guess against who?

It's actually implied, not inferred.

The losses to WSU and Navy were one of the final parts in the puzzle for our coaching staff on how to win football games. Going into the year, they had prepared for everything except......How to protect a lead when you are up by two or three touchdowns in the second half with a young team. I don't think anyone forecast that we would be having that problem this year.

Good point, as they probably didn't plan for that THIS season ( maybe for next season) and mentally planning for protecting the pysche of young players in those situations ......I think they now know what to do now...go for the jugular!

By the way, the answer to the above question is North Texas State who's two wins have come against 2 of the bottom 10's teams..........If you look at their schedule, Dodge must have been expecting to win at least 5 games this year.........Given his hype and this being his 3rd year, he should be in the running for the most inept coach of the year award................
