Trying to get into SMU football.. Where do young alumni sit?

I graduated in '07 and have been around town but have sadly been neglecting my ponies for the Cowboys... Anyways, I'm trying to buy tickets for the Homecoming game but haven't been to a game since I was a student... Where do recent grads generally sit? I don't want to get caught in a crowd of 18-year olds or have to keep quiet around small children, necessarily... Any thoughts? It would be a huge help! Thanks!

Sit anywhere you want as long as you're there and stay for most, if not all, of the game.

And bring your friends!

Just get a ticket...any ticket and then move around the stadium until you find an area you like. Then next time you will know where you want to be and not where someone else thinks is THE place. Personally, I like section 104, but it is not the easiest section to get into...it is reserved for Mustang Club members. Just pay attention to the enthusiasm shown in the various sections during the game and you will figure it out.

I thought recent grads were being phased out because they represent part of a 'culture of losing,' and were being replaced by newer, more recent grads who need a home:)

It only took me 3 years to get in to section 104...buy season tickets for the next three games, and you'll start accumulating points, then you'll have a good shot at getting seats where you want them.

dallasholla: bring friends. Your buddies that owe you money, your buddies you used to hang out with, that guy who's done really well for himself the last couple of years, the guy who's looking for a job, the chick you used to date, the dude who wound up dating her, that other chick with a bunch of guy friends, that guy who used to tell you all you needed to know to get through a class, everybody...

bring them.

I am an old alumnus but I have an extra ticket in section 104. If you want it, it is yours and you can move around to find area you like. Only stipulation is that you agree to be a repeat attender.

I don't believe your following you're self imposed protocol sir!
As a menber of row 8 you have my permission to give your seat away, providing he doesn't infer that we are old until he's drank one of us under the table.

Hi there and welcome to the board. I've been sitting in sec 106 since the new stadium opened and they are decent seats;15-20 yard line, nice view of the pom squad and SMU sideline, good mix of younger fans, families with kids, and some recruits and other SMU athletes in the lower rows. Not many blue hairs so you are welcome to cheer your arse off!
