Homecoming Parade-What happens when you start winning

Postby Dooby » Thu Nov 05, 2009 10:42 am

When you have winning football, it affects the whole campus. 15 floats this year. Most in recent memory.

Parade starts at 11 on Saturday.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

If the parade starts at 11AM does anybody know what time they will close the Blvd to vehicle entry because of the Homecoming Parade?

Blvd info sheet that came w/ parking passes indicates that the blvd closes to vehicle traffic 2 hours before kickoff for games, EXCEPT Homecoming, when it closes 3 hours prior to kickoff. so i take that to mean 11a.m. closing.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Thanks Dutch! That would be a bummer to pull up at 11:10 and be denied entry with all your Blvd essentials. Not sure my back could take carrying the ice chests full of beer and the mannequin with concrete base a few hundred yards. We will adjust departure time Sat morning.

But that means we must start eating, drinking and cooking by 11:00AM--appropriate for winners!

If we win enough, can we bring back Pigskin Revue?

Fact: These organizations that are entering floats began planning them a month ago (more in some cases). Most of them have no clue that the football team is 4-4.

Like when we were 2-0? Or 3-2?

2-1 (and they all thought we were 1-2).

FACT: A professor of mine brought up the game in class today and mentioned how we were favored to win. One student said, "We're favored to beat Navy?"

Will the geldings be paraded?

If the geldings show up, maybe we could put them to good use at one of the tailgates...

Anybody have any good French horse meat recipes?
