you're right. And I guess when any of us grow up and get our own message board that we allow people to post on for free, we too can selectively enforce anything we want
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

Respectfully asking them to move blvd posts to the general board so they stop obscuring the football threads, when the posters on this site make it what it is, and generate advertising revenue, is quite within the bounds of decent posting.

Much more decent than the rampant personal attacks going on lately.

All true, but if the once and future mascots have nothing to do with football, the why the *$&*%^@(#$%^@( does June Jones care or have anything to do with going out and finding mascots more to his liking? If he'd have stuck to just football and not worried about stuff now relegated to the "Around the Hilltop" board, we wouldn't be having the problem of discussion "obscuring" issues truly related to football.

Because Shetland ponies are wimpy. Unfortunately, emasculated geldings are also wimpy...should have gotten a single wild, untamed mare. Before any of you say a female mascot would have been wimpy, check out a wild mare mustang, they're not wimpy. A wild untamed stallion would have been unmanageable. I'm biased b/c I've always thought Peruna was wimpy. The best argument for a non-wimpy mascot is to market the program to new recruits and to POTENTIAL SMU fans.

If that were the case then I suppose the University of Oregon should change mascots? They seem to be doing very well with a "wimpy" mascot.

Only someone who has never spent time around an untamed Shetland, particularly Peruna, could make that statement.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

i wish those people would go be ignorant and blissful somewhere else. We have covered all this ad nauseum - the Shetland ain't wimpy and he ain't leaving, and if your masculinity is so fragile you cant handle that - go support some other program. If we are recruiting anyone who cares about what kind of mascot we have then we are recruiting the wrong players.

Next topic.
