- Defense did not play well
- Padron did a nice job although not spectacular
- Blocked kicks this year have been huge
- Shawnbrey ran well today

Nice game for Sanders, too.
Need to get our O line healthy for next week.
Can't play this loose on D against UTEP. Need to force them to be the turnover machine that they can be.

Padtron was hurried almost all day and did a good job for a freshman. Officials wrere horrible again especially late. The D was porous and got no pressure all day. Secondary didn't play very well either. And yet we still won through it all-thank goodness we were playing Rice today. By the way their qb was surprisingly good today-I bet he was surprised too.

The OL, which I think has played great all year, looked pretty bad today. McJunkin's 3 (or was it 4?) false starts was a drive killer.

The refs sucked. That long pass interference was a joke.

We played very sloppy today. Rice was tricky. Kudos to the team for holding on.

I say the programmed turned the corner the last two weeks. We beat up Tulsa last week. This week when behind, needing a big play, the playmakers stood up and turned the game around on the blocked field goal. That hasn't happened in a long time.

Or in other words....now you think we are going to make the big play instead of dreading that the opposition will make the big play.

and another thing...."Monsters of the Hilltop?" Well at least they got Hilltop right! 8)

glad for the win. the penalties were out of hand. How are we so undisciplined 2 weeks in a row, especially in November? Rice wasn't. I recently saw a cleaner and more crisply played middle school game.

Like June said.......sloppy, but the team found a way to win.....in the past, this would have been a game that SMU probably would have lost.......

Thank heaven again for Special Teams...they pulled it out for those guys......O was marginal and seemed somewhat predictable and the freshman QB plays reared their ugly head, but didn't get us in too much trouble. Our smaller D backs were getting killed by their tall receivers ..their QB played surprisingly well and was pretty accurate and made some plays. We will have to play much more spirited next week.

we need to all settle on some kind of chant fot Hunt. Intimidate the kicker even more. These guys are psyched-I'm surprised these soccer style kickers can't lift the ball better especially on extra points. Symanski gets great height-probably cause of getting some kicks blocked in practice

Hunt does need a chant ...I agree as it isn't consistant and he is so talented. Wolfman or something every time he goes in. His hand/eye coordination is so outstanding with all that is going on around him....I would hate to play him in BBall...maybe Doherty can just stick him in a 2-1-2 zone in the middle....he would block em all into the stands....

They need a picture of him like Drago in Rocky IV on the screen saying, "i'll will break you!"

That would get the crowd fired up and immidating as well.
