Wheels Are Off at UTEP

Mike Price & the soft UTEP defense are getting handily plastered over on the 2 UTEP forums tonight. It's 100% consensus for Price to be gone. They have all thrown in the towel over there concerning the rest of the season after giving up 45 points to Tulane. No excuse not to beat them next week by focusing on RB Donald Buckram. Then you have win # 6 with 2 games left.

The Miners reached the Green Wave 2-yard line on the ensuing possession, but on fourth down from the 5, Alex Wacha sacked Trevor Vittatoe for a 21-yard loss that ended the game.
Holy crap, where the hell was he going on that play?

We better not approach them like we did Rice. I want to see some serious blitzing (like at Tulsa) and some better protection for the QB (like at Tulsa).
The wheels may be off out there, but we can still lose if we act like they will be a pushover. I want to see 8-4....let's get it done!

for years we've been SMU...the cure for what ails ya.
I'm hoping Rice was a wakeup call, and another step to the kind of team we need to be. It's time to witness an SMU butt-whipping, like SMU 45-10 or something like that. It's time.

Thought of you yesterday RGV. I flew up and back same day for the game and I did not take a change of shirt for the return trip. That is how confident I was and how nervous I was during the game.

I don't think we're that good yet to manage a blowout.

We're winning with a bunch of babies out there guys. Freshmen and sophomores all over the field. We're going to have to fight through some inconsistency.

The wheels may be off at UTEP but we've lost to bobsleds before. And I would not say that our wheels would make it through the Dickie's 500 either.
