I am going. I hope we can get good rates on the air fare and hotel through the Mustang Club. I already envision getting drunk at the pool bar talking SMU football with the Mustang Nation!

There aren't any bowl games in Africa.

The Mustang Club will undoubtedly be offering a nice air/hotel package to any bowl game we participate in that calls for travel arrangements.

Going to be hard to beat my D-3 pass with AA $185.00 round trip first class if I can get on.

Looking at the seats, it don't look good www.aa.com

So you think its too expensive?

When was the last time you ever had the opportunity to visit Hawaii?

With the world wide economic slump, Hawaii prices have dropped big time. Hawaii hotels are dieing just like all world international hotels. If you can afford it, now is the time to get a deal. Air fares are down too. You get to go to the Hawaii Bowl and watch SMU play and also take a once in a life time vacation in Hawaii. Take two weeks and visit Honolulu, Waikiki, but also go to at least one of the outer islands like Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii.

It is cheap and ask for upgrades. It is a buyer's market.

Once in a life time.

The dollar sucks so going international is way expensive.

Going to Hawaii. The dollar is the same. You get your money's worth. 8)

If the Mustangs get invited to the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl, I am going to do everything in my power to get there. Hopefully the Mustang Club will have a helluva package!

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Mustangs have 3 games left. WIN! WIN! WIN!

It won't be as exciting if the Mustangs are playing in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth. But it'll still be a bowl.

edit: This year's Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl is on Christmas Eve Day. I now doubt that I'll be there. :(

If SMU goes, I will be there for a week in Oahu. Other islands will have to wait. Winter is for sking not for going to the beach. My experience with MC travel packages is that they are usually pricey. Have always done better on my own although I have taken parts of packages such as local transportation and tailgates. We will see. First thing is the bowl bid.

well if you can't make it to another island-then at least rent a car and head to the other side of Oahu. Honolulu is not Hawaii. Honolulu was quaint about 30 years ago-now its a huge metropolitan area on a beach.

That is the plan. My daughter in law grew up in Oahu and will be giving me all the info I need to fully explore the island. Next trip, I will try another island probably Hawaii.
