SMU is 4-1 in Conference USA, the best start since going 4-1 to start the 1986 league slate
Mustangs had three blocked kicks in the game and now have eight for the season (Sterling Moore FG, Margus Hunt PAT & FG). Hunt now has six blocked kicks on the season to set the SMU season record and tie for fifth in NCAA history for a season
Emmanuel Sanders & Aldrick Robinson now have 1373 combined receiving yards (Sanders 843, Robinson 530), which is 10th for a tandem in a season at SMU. They also hold the SMU record of 2005 combined from last season (Robinson 1047, Sanders 958).
Emmanuel Sanders had 151 all-purpose yards (136 receiving, 15 punt return) and now has 4036 for his career. That ranks seventh at SMU. He is just the eighth Mustang to 4000 all-purpose yards.
Three turnovers forced by fumble is a season-high and the most by SMU in the June Jones era

Margus Hunt
- Had two blocked kicks on a blocked PAT and a blocked FG; now has six blocked kicks on the season (3 PATs, 3 FGs); that sets the SMU season record for blocked kicks (previous mark was four by Chad Patton, 1992 (1 FG, 2 PATs, 1 punt))
- His six on the season ties for fifth in NCAA history for a season (record is 8 by three different players)
Chase Kennemer
- Had three fumble recoveries, now has four on the season
- Had 8 tackles, and now has 93 for the season
Bryan McCann
- Returned a blocked FG 74 yards for a TD to end the first half. It was his second return for a TD this season after a 63 yard blocked FG return against East Carolina.
- Had 52 kickoff return yards and now has 637 KOR yards on the season, moving into eighth in a season at SMU
- Now has 773 career KOR yards, moving into 10th at SMU (passes Doak Walker, 757 (1945, 47-49))
Shawnbrey McNeal
- Had a career-best two rushing TDs
- Had 88 rushing yards (21 attempts) and now has 727 yards for the season
Sterling Moore - Blocked a FG that was returned 74 yards for a TD by Bryan McCann on the last play of the first half, it was Moore’s first blocked kick
Kyle Padron – Had one TD pass, now has four for the season
Taylor Reed – Season-high eight tackles (six solo)
Aldrick Robinson
- Had 11 receiving yards and now has 1743 for his career; which is ninth at SMU
Emmanuel Sanders
- Had 151 all-purpose yards (136 receiving, 15 punt return) and now has 4036 for his career. That ranks seventh at SMU. He is just the eighth Mustang to 4000 all-purpose yards.
- Had his 30th career receiving TD to become the NCAA career active leader
- Had 136 yards on 6 receptions; this is his 13th career 100-yard game, which extends his SMU record and moves him into a tie for fourth in C-USA history
- Had 136 receiving yards to extend his SMU record for career receiving yards to 3295 (second is Emanuel Tolbert, 2784 from 1976-79). He moves into fourth in Conference USA history.
- Had 6 receptions extend his SMU record for receptions to 257 (previous mark was Jason Wolf, 235 from 1989-92). He is fourth in Conference USA history.
- Emmanuel Sanders now has 843 receiving yards for the season, which is eighth in a season at SMU.
- With a TD, he now has 186 career points, which is tied for eitghth at SMU
Youri Yenga
- Had one sack, now has two for the season and 11 for his career
- Had a forced fumble, now has two for the season and six for his career
- Had seven tackles, his most since eight against Stephen F Austin in the season-opener
Matt Szymanski
- Hit FG from 23 yards, he is 7-for-10 on the season and has made four straight
- Hit all four PATs and is 30-of-31 on the season
