Couple of pictures of the new players walk to the stadium. 2 hours prior to kickoff SMU players will walk from Mustang Plaza/Doak Walker Plaza to the stadium before every home game.

Colorado's buffalo... UT's Bevo... ever heard of tranquilizers? If you want two of the most sedentary, impotent (quite literally!), and knock-off icons in college football, YOU JUST GOT 'EM. You find me a mascot (not named Peruna!) that has killed another mascot. There is no end to the feisty, WILD spirit of Peruna. These two pathetic excuses for mascots provide absolutely zero inspiration for anybody at the game when they stand (at least partially out-of-view, I might add) in the corner of the stadium while their two riders rub their neck consoling their inferiority.

Some guy posted that on SMU Mustangs Facebook post regarding this event

2 1/2 hours before kickoff, the players walk from Mustang Plaza (in front of Moody), past Doak Walker Plaza, into Ford Stadium thru the NW entrance (by the ticket office). Great way to utilize these two new additions to the SMU family, without infringing on Peruna's duties.

After seeing the above pictures I still have the same thought that I had upon seeing them at the game. It looks like two members of the Fort Worth Sheriff's Posse got lost on the way to the Fort Worth Stock Show.

I for one am glad this was incorporated if the team/JJ wanted it. Besides, Peruna's role hasnt changed. It almost seems like some of you wanted Peruna's role to diminish, just so that you could [deleted] about it.

If JJ and the team wanted this, and now they have it, if there is no one there, if I'm a team member my mindset would be 'yeah, well...f 'em'.

I'm sure I missed the announcement, but I didn't actually know this was going to happen. I'll be there this week! 2 1/2 hrs before kick?

This "walk" thiing is a good idea but it needs to be from the flagpole to the stadium right down the middle of the 'vard.

I like that idea, and I think we should WWE it up...have well-wishers on the Vard hand JJ or better still McKnight a cold one...they take a swig, then toss it aside, Stone Cold Steve Austin style
