Man Nevada has looked good the last few times I've seen them. What was it 62-7 this week against SJSU on Sunday Nite. They had problems early in season but they are now rolling. They had nice performances from QB Collin Kaepernick and a tall athletic RB the other nite out of the PISTOL. Noticed Alabama and several others using the Pistol lately. Still surprised they didn't give ND a better game.

here are the WAC Standings if you are interested in possible opponents. As long as we don't play Idaho which you'd think would be heading to the Humanatarian Bowl-I'll be happy.

Ft. Worth versus Air Force on New Year's Eve?
I'd take it.

Nothing wrong with the Pistol- I think it makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Also in the DMN, during the Jerry Palm (BCS Expert) interview..they ask him about SMU's bowl chances and where they would go..he predicted the New Orleans Bowl.

I am starting to see us either going to the NO Bowl or the Armed Forces Bowl...think about it, June Jones back to Hawaii is not that great a story line, unless we were playing Hawaii, which aint gonna happen this year. In the end, ESPN plays a big part of this and they would want a team that would draw better TV ratings for this bowl, since no one will travel well here anyway.

I see us in a smaller bowl because of our lack of appeal in the TV markets.

It'd be a nightmare being matched up with either Nevada or CMU. Both have duel threat qb's who tear defenses apart. Air Force would be a great match up.

Approximately when are bowl invitations presented? I looked up the Hawaii Bowl last year and believe Notre Dame announced their acceptance Dec 7. I’m inquiring so we can purchase air fare tickets in advance. The price of airline tickets goes up closer to the day you need to leave.
Maybe after the Tulane game and if we don't make the championship playoff?
