Spoke to WB 33

Postby BUS » Tue Nov 10, 2009 10:53 am

this morning. 214-252-9233 main number and 214-252-3333 is news room.

As of now, they have not scheduled the Marshall Game.

Is Marshall showing their own game in their local market?

Maybe with a few calls to their main number we could gently encourage the showing of this game.

Just talked to Marshall ticket office and SID office.

They do not have this game scheduled to be shown.

I was told that these decisions are not always planned and change the week of the game.

1800 the herd for the ticket office.

Documented or undocumentd?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Not sure, but I assumed that the Channel 33 telecast the SMU/Tulsa game because the SMU athletic department put it together...I assumed we lined up the sponsors and cash to cover the expenses and then found a channel to carry it.

Also, CBS College Sports still has not picked their Conf USA game that week I believe, so we could be in the running for that.

After looking at next week's schedule, it seems to me that we will have the most intriguing game. The only other game that can compete is the Tulsa vs Southern Miss game. But they both could lose this week. Hopefully it will get picked up!
