A friend recently sent me to this link on youtube. The video (film I guess) was made during the SMU v. Arkansas game at the Cotton Bowl in 1973. The first half is of the halftime show, the second half of consists of a few plays from scrimmage in the second half. I noticed a few things:

1. The crowd was not huge, but transplanted into Ford would look respectable.
2. Those Ohio State inspired uniforms don't look all that bad.

Arkansas was always a huge draw for us, but alas, JerryWorld had co-opted most of the big draws that I wish we could have lured to Ford.

I think that was Keith Bobo at qb. I hated the helmets, eventhough we have one in our collection, at the Special Delivery 'Vard spot.

I have one of those helmets too. I know I am probably in a very small minority, but I like the silver ones with the red and blue strips. Yes, Keith was one of my favorite Mustangs when I was a kid. A pretty fair passer. David Bostick I believe was at running back and maybe I recognized Oscar Roan at tight end.

A pretty feisty Peruna that year.
