Happy Veteran's Day to you all. I appreciate your service to our country. I did not serve, however, my father served 4 years during the Korean War.

Thanks to all of you who served out there. Dad did four years in the Corps, 2 tours in Vietnam. I think yesterday he was flying three flags at the house: US, USMC and SMU!

I stupidly forgot to mention The Colonel, my wife who has been serving on Army active duty now for 5 years (total 35 years on active duty and Reserve). She is stationed in D.C. writing policy for taking care of the injured reservists returning from overseas. A very important, humbling, and rewarding job in which she excels!

Five years active 3 reserve in the Navy, defending Japan and California from impending Soviet domination :)

Feeling that, in light of the current geopolitical situation, my service was no longer relevant, I joined the Texas National Guard and am awaiting OCS in February.

I would like to take a minute to send out special thanks to those Vets who's service has put them in harm's way. I don't make a point of my Veteran status because, frankly running around the Pacific drinking beer and chasing tail wasn't much of a sacrifice for me. I'm thankful for that, but I'm even more thankful for those who were called to a greater task. <S>.
