Wouldn't the BCS Gag?

If two of the top 3 falter and TCU remains undefeated. What an awful situation the BCS is placed in! The top 2 undefeated teams includes a non-BCS team. And horror of horrors...should TCU BEAT the other team..how can they avoid crowning TCU national champion and avoiding a playoff system in the future? I can see another Watergate, with the computers being rigged and people bribed to avoid that scenario.
Woe unto the BCS!

It is prearranged with the refs to not let that happen.

Considering TCU has lured 2 of our prized recruits that have committed to SMU to their game this weekend I hope it does not happen.

People that are fans of BCS teams want it to end. The POUS wants it to end. Boise St. Utah, BYU, TCU, CUSA, Mtn. West, WAC, all want it to end. So it will end, in time. Not a long time, It's day's are numbered. SMU needs to get ready and position itself for the next thing the NCAA comes out with. The BCS is going to end, may take 5-10 yrs. but it is going away.
I believe that there are very few teams that would even be considered for a National title that are non BCS. The teams are TCU, SMU and BYU. The reasoning on this is they have won national championships before. They all have a background. Bosie St. would have a tough time. They may be the best, but they are Boise St. If forced, meaning the top 3 lose, TCU might play for the championship.

Are you kidding? If this happened they would forever be able to say "I told you so" - they would have proof that it is possible for a non-AQ team to do it, and a playoff would be off the table forever because nobody could ever complain again that they don't have a shot. For the people in power, it would be worth having TCU win to make sure the BCS is here to stay.

This is true. And Gary Patterson is so pro BCS until it is sickening.

On the other hand, a non-BCS team winning refutes the argument that the "elite" conferences are truly elite...and there exists no reason to seperate them from the rest of the conferences as is now done. Thus a playoff involving ALL the conferences.

Nah. They will just add the Cotton Bowl and let the MWC in, and their problem is solved.

My source says Ricky Collins and Jeremy Johnson will be in the stands this weekend.

Can you say "strength of schedule?" When it is all said and done, 12-0 will mean nothing if you have a lower SOS then the leading BCS teams. There have been a number of seasons when a non-BCS team has gone 12-0 and the end result was not a berth in the NC game. The BCS is a cartel and they will not let a non-BCS team play in the NC game...mark my words.
From another thread:
"The noise from the Frog faithful needs to be deafening. The Utes, who finished 13-0 in the 2008 season for a Sugar Bowl berth, will surely aim to improve their post-season prospects for this year.
My point exactly...the 2008 Utes did not play in the NC game...I wonder why.

you would see two "one loss" teams from BCS conferences in the championship game before an undefeated TCU team.
there are too many out there who still believe Boise State would be a .500 team in the PAC-10 and TCU would be a .500 or slightly better team in the Big XII for any non-BCS program to have a shot at the championship game
I wonder how many consecutive undefeated seasons it would take for the likes of TCU or Boise to actually have a shot?

Our stock is rising quickly in recruiting world - if they are sending a signal that they are not committed to us, we should not be committed to them - lets just replace them.
