Winning Season

Postby Mustangsabu » Thu Nov 12, 2009 3:33 pm

Perhaps I am getting greedy, but I am inclined to think that we really should be holding out for a winning season. We have not had one since 1997, and although 6-6 would get us to a bowl (or so we think) we did achieve that in 2006. Now I know that this is different this time but I really would love to see 7-5 or 8-4. Getting to a bowl that I can't be at is well and good but I would love to salute a team with a winning record.

How disappointing would it be to go bowling at 6-6, lose the game and end of with a losing (6-7) record one more time?

I graduated from SMU in '96 and have waited since 1992 (my freshman year) for SMU to go to a bowl game.

I want to be there more than I realize.

Hawaii would be fun, but I want to be there.
