JJ really wants Hawaii

In post game interview, JJ says that if SMU is eligible for the Liberty Bowl, he hopes CUSA officials will see that it is better for SMU to go to Hawaii and for East Carolina or similar team to go to Liberty Bowl.
Not sure what I think about this. I'd love us playing in the Liberty Bowl. Really any bowl.

Agreed. I'd rather vacation in Hawai'i, but I'd rather go bowling in Tennessee.

As I said in the game thread, with JJ's salary he can take the team to the Liberty Bowl and then take a vacation to Hawaii!!!

I dont think winning the conf is an auto invite to liberty bowl..it is my understanding they get to choose. Histroically, they have picked the winner of C USA though

The Hawaii Bowl pays 400k vs the Liberty Bowl's 1.7 million.
Plus you get to play a SEC opponent in the Liberty Bowl v. a WAC opponent in the Hawaii Bowl.
SMU's AD is over 3 million in debt..........It would be foolish to pass up the Liberty Bowl.
