How could they rank Army and Buffalo above us?!!! Aren't these guys paying attention? I think we should all send them a pair of eyeglasses. We are Number 1. I think our last Sagarin rating was #157. That means only about 70-80 lower division schools have to be beaten out for us to grab a double in the polls. Bring on SEMo State. We'll prove no one is better at losing!!!!!!!!!

just checked cbssportsline and they have us ranked #114 of 117 I-A programs (ahead of Army, E. Mich & Buffalo. That's ome pretty elite company we're keeping. Our defense is rated #82 based purely on the ave # yds given up per game.

Man, I hope we can find a way to compete this weekend and maybe at least beat Rice!

good one, Damone! Would we use that #1 pick for a QB, or go for a big stud OL or DL? Maybe we'll know if we have another Quincy Carter in the making after Saturday.

If our defense is ranked 82 that can be misleading. Thin back to all the times our offense and punt team gave the other team the ball on our side of the field. They only had to go 30 or 40 yards to score. It can pretty much be assumed that if they would have had 80 or so yars to go that they would have scored just with a more total yards.

Yup, and time of possession is always in your favor when it only takes 1:15 off of the clock for the opponent to score with a couple of passes.
