SMU is 6-4 on the season and bowl eligible for the fifth time since its last bowl appearance.
Margus Hunt blocked a 39-yard FG attempt by UTEP on the final play of the first half. It was his seventh of the season and moves him within one block of the NCAA single-season record.

He was definitely pumped after the block. I wish that the announcer had mentioned that he was the one that had definitively blocked the kick. No one was quite sure if he had accomplished the feat of if someone else had touched it. We guessed, by his reaction, that he had in fact blocked the kick, but were never quite sure.

Thought it was funny he ran off the field before the end of the half.
