Doesn't the best team in Conference USA deserve a seat in the Top 25? ... Maybe not yet - but it's coming!

Son asked me the same thing. Had we won the two OOC OT games, 8-2 would have given us a couple votes methinks.

Wait til next year. 10-2. Top 25.
Possible.
This year lots of freshmen and sophomores. Next year lots of experienced sophomores and juniors, and seniors. The key is two great QBs in Padron and BLM. You need at least two QBs to make the top 25 and a great OL.
Injuries will dictate next season's top 25 chances. To get up there, you need depth and luck.
SMU has been lucky on injuries so far with over achievers.
Two more wins! Beat Marshall!!!

We'll get Top 25 only if we win our conference and win the Liberty Bowl.

Houston has a better overall record than we do. Let's win a few more games.

end of the season rankings get to consider total body of work. Top 25 teams won't show a loss to what could end up a 1-11 WSU team.
Let's not worry about being ranked. Winning out and going 10-4 would be nothing short of miraculous. Marshall is going to be a huge challenge. Marshall is in a must win situation if they want to reach a bowl game this year.Let's hope we can hang onto the CUSA West lead for more than a week.
I just want to see these guys finish strong and for me that means winning the home finale against Tulane and winning whatever bowl game we might play in.

So true CP. All the win yesterday assured was that we would be at worse a .500 team. And Marshall also has something to play for.
On the road against a team that has motivation and possible in in slightly cooler weather than we have seen could impact our team.
And Marshall is once again a must win (for the 4th week running). That adds a lot of pressure on the young men.
Beat Marshall and then a bowl debate is appropriate.
