I would love to see speedy Kennemer sent on blitzes more. Vittatoe was knitting sweaters back there while he waited for receivers to open up. I also think more pressure leads to more picks. Our banged up secondary did a great job with the amount of time the QB had.

600+ yards in total offense by UTEP is nothing to brag about for our defense. Yet, they found a way to make stops when they needed to and block kicks. Somehow these kids are doing it and one can only admire their success.

I really think the yardage is a knock on how we schemed it defensively not our kids.

our lack of depth could become a factor finishing this season

It certainly the reason Taylor Thompson is throwing up after the game. Which brings up another point. On 3rd and 1 why not give it to Shawnbrey (8 yards a carry) rather than the Hail Mary and then punt it away. It is critical with our depth on defense to get SUSTAINED drives.

Everytime Kennemer blitzed, they ran a screen to Buckram, including a 30 yard TD. We were successful in stopping them at the end by rushing 3 and dropping 8 into coverage.

Also, it didn't help that we were pretty banged up yesterday. Pittman, Moore, etc.

Not every long pass is a hail mary.
