I'm getting way ahead of myself here. . .

. . .but I'm curious about the methodology used in selecting the site of the C-USA championship game. The announcers yesterday commented that the championship game would be at Ford, likely against ECU, if SMU wins out. Is that because we beat ECU? Or does the game rotate annually between east and west? What about if the east champion is Southern Miss, whom we haven't played? Would the game be here or there? Does anyone know exactly how that works?

I believe it is:

1 - best conference record

2 - then head to head.

Please someone correct if that is not accurate.

It does not rotate. Best record or winner of tie-breaker.

well if that's true then I guess we want ECU to win tonite against Tulsa-someone mentioned the game was Monday-that is incorrect-7:15 tonite. However, I think a Tulsa win actually guarantees that SMU can not be locked out a CUSA Bowl because of only 6 wins. USM and UCF could end up with identical records but I'm assuming its Conference Record that is the tiebreaker since both have 2 conference losses. Go ECU. I thought I was cheering for Tulsa.

Are you confident in you calculations on us being or not being locked out? I have been trying to figure that out and I am too stoopid to do so.

I think Huskerpony found a scenario where UH and 5 CUSA East teams get to 7 wins. I confirmed that but couldn't find another.
