I am not going to worry about it; I suggest you do the same

I can't afford to go to Hawaii on short notice. I can't deprive my parents and in-laws of their grandchidren at Christmas. I do, however, have a TV and a tivo. I am sure that if the Hawaii Bowl is the destination, I will watch it live and replay the game no fewer than 5 times and burn it to DVD.

If SMU is invited anywhere else and SMU accepts, I will go; drive if I have to.

Until the day comes when I have to worry about it, I am not going to worry about it.

One thing I do know is that the coaches and players are going to bust their @$$es to win every game, whether it be two or three or four more games. And I want to make sure that everyone has that perfectly clear. One of this coach's faults is that he has an enormous ego and is an arrogant SOB. He would relish the opportunity to say he turned SMU into a conference champ in two years. I have seen a couple of posts that seem to question that, which is nonsense.

This is why you should have a blog of your own. Well said.

I third that.

One of the annoying recent developments on this board is the split between the Jones camp and the SMU traditionalist camp. While I am far more sympathetic to the traditionalists when we are discussing Peruna or the "best" bowl, can we not all put that stuff aside and focus on BEATING MARSHALL?

How can anyone think about Marshall when we have a chance to food fight and act like on line 2 year olds when we talk about something that hasn't happen in a quarter of a century?

Forget Marshall and lets attack each other about which bowl we are going to!!!

sar off

I'm sorry. That would require maturity - and I just think that is too much to ask.

Of course we can. We're all pulling for the Mustangs to win.
(any distractions, btw, are not coming from traditionalists. :) )

I certainly don't question that he'd like to win the championship this year.
(Petitioning for a lesser bowl? Don't get it.)
GO MUSTANGS!!

Agreed, any bowl game would be such a blessing we should all be thankful for.

Agreed. But there's no reason to settle for less than you can get.

Perhaps I should have said they haven't been "initiated" by traditionalists. That's what I meant - and it's true. I'm just reacting to the news, my brother.

Funny, but these things come up and those who disagree with the powers that be are said be causing "distractions." :)
