Well, folks, it looks like we are coming to the end. My pledge to keep Kathy Bates as my semi-permanent avatar until SMU goes to a bowl, looks like it will finally come full circle. It has only been eight years. As you know Kathy only goes away for the week following an SMU victory (replaced by the lovely SMU MFA alum Lauren Graham). I mention this because it sure seems like this week will be the last opportunity for Kathy to return. It sure looks like the bowl invite is coming soon and this week SMU is an underdog on the road.
So if you want a naked Kathy Bates sitting in a hot tub to return for one last week, please cheer for Marshall this week. If, on the other hand, you never want to see Kathy again, cheer for SMU.

Did I ever mention that I knew SMU had the Tulsa game in the bag when I turned the TV on Friday night and saw that Lauren Graham was on with Craig Ferguson? It was a sign.
