NFL Prospects

Postby GeorgiaMustang » Tue Nov 17, 2009 3:40 pm

Outside of Emmanuel Sanders, do we have any other seniors who will be possibly gracing NFL rosters next year? Morestead has done us proud so far this year, and I really think ES has the chance to do the same for years to come.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Only ES and it will be tough but he is a tough guy. Hope he gets drafted.

Sanders WILL be drafted.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Late Round Draftee:
WR Emmanuel Sanders - Best-ever CUSA receiver, somebody takes a chance

Undrafted Free Agency:
K Kellis Cunningham - +60 yrd average on kickoffs
DB Bryce Hudman - maybe special teams/utility guy
LB Chase Kennemer - ditto

What about McCann? Is he good enough? I thought I remembered some talk about him having the potential a year or so ago on PF.

Add in Padron as well, depending on how he develops. Still very early to know anything on most of our guys though.

Remember the Willis for Heisman 2007 threads....

I think Kennemer may get some looks. He is a very productive player and has a lot of tackles this year. I doubt he is drafted but I could see him being a special teams guy.

In the NFL a lot of DB's are the same size as Chase with 4.4 speed

WR Emmanuel Sanders - Best-ever CUSA receiver, somebody takes a chance

Please tell me you are joking. While ES is very good, he's no Jarett Dillard. Dillard is the best-ever C-USA receiver and holds the NCAA record for career TDs along with almost all C-USA records. He is having trouble finding the field this season and I think he just got hurt.

Somebody will take a chance, but tap the breaks on the "best-ever" stuff. Best at SMU, debatable. Best in C-USA, not even close.

CFL candidate = Youri Yenga. He's obviously a great athlete, heard it took him awhile to get comfortable with dropping back into coverage instead of just rushing the passer and containing the end

Sanders will get some looks by a few teams but I don't think its a certainty that he gets drafted. Other than him maybe Kennemerr and Cunningham get a camp invite. I really wish we had Hudman one extra year.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Kellis doesn't even kick for us anymore -- it's all Szymanski, who will definitely get a look in the NFL after next season.

Having said that, Sanders will most certainly get drafted. While he surely isn't the best C-USA WR ever, he'll be highly rated in this year's WR draft list and will get his shot.
