C-usa bowl eligible teams:

ECU
Southern Miss
UCF
SMU
Houston

+possibly UAB and Marshall currently at 5 wins
+possibly Tulsa currently at 4 wins

Bowl games with cusa tie ins:

Liberty
Hawaii
Armed Forces
New Orleans
Texas (*NAVY has locked this one up*)
St. Petersburg
EagleBank (*ARMY goes if they win the next 2 games*)

So it seems like the only way we wouldn't go is if those 3 teams all become bowl eligible and the bowl committees pick a 6-6 tulsa team over us at 6-6. (which i wouldn't think could happen with the hawaii bowl picking us). Or if we finish 6-6, army makes the EagleBank bowl and both Marshall and UAB finish with 7 wins. Is this right?

Also, looking at projections, the GMAC bowl may have a replacement team so that could potentially be another c-usa bowl.

How about we just beat marshall and don't have to worry about worst case scenario?!

No. We need one more win.

A lot of things would have to fall in place to be locked out, but it is still possible. Especially if Army were to win out (UNT, Navy), then CUSA is back to 5 bowls, and it looks like there is a good chance there will be 5 7-win teams.
