I make a post stating the game time for the CUSA championship game has been set...not a word about the possibility of SMU being in the game...and 85% of the replies are "BEAT MARSHALL...SHOULD BE THE ONLY THOUGHT " "We won't be in the game if we don't beat Marshall" and my favorites:

Saturday will be tough. Let's hold off on the Championship stuff at least until we win that one.

Do not be the "Laura Miller award winner" by getting your cart before the horse...Beat Marshall. There is nothing else to think or talk about.

Dear lord...if someone were to post the date and time of the 2011 BcS national championship game, most of you would go crazy with "BEAT MARSHALL" this and "BEAT MARSHALL" that.

Had I said that "the time for the CUSA championship game, which SMU may play in, has been set," I could understand where all of the responses were coming from. However, I didn't mention SMU. I simply stated that the time had been set and left it at that.

i was going to post a response that if you post the championship game time on an SMU board when we are still obviously in the hunt for the championship then you are for sure forecasting - and it is disingenuous to claim you are "just informing" but instead I'm just going to say.....
