I asked around and the consensus is this is the best place for a pre-game party. The name is "Mac-Reedos":

They are very convenient to the Pullman Plaza Hotel and provide shuttle service to the football stadiunm starting at 1:30 PM.
This is a fun place to get a cold drink, hamburger, sandwich and the owner is going to hang a "Welcome SMU Mustangs" sign out in front of the restuarant. Ask for "Connie" when you arrive and she will show you the SMU "reserved" section.

Connie will definitely take care of you. She did something similar for a group of Memphis fans last season at MacReedos on the friday night before the game. My advice would be to give her a call(304 523-4266) there in advance and let her know how many people you'll have in the group and she will probably work something up for you. She goes to all the games and is there early tailgating so waiting until saturday might not be a good idea.

The second floor is a private reserved area. It has sofas and a couple tvs and a private bar for the guests. I would ask her about that but you might want to get on it, it may already be reserved. If it is then the place is still decent sized. It also has an outdoor patio area. She does have a shuttle that runs back and forth from the bar to the stadium on gameday but I don't know how many it will accommodate at once. Might take a couple trips to get everyone there.

MacReedos is located on the corner of 8th street and 7th avenue and the Pullman Plaza is on 10th street and 3rd avenue. Probably would have to use the hotel shuttle or cab it to get there. It would be a long walk but doable. She also posts at Herdnation as oh herd cr. You might be able to get a hold of her that way too.

MacReedos is about 6 blocks from the Pullman Plaza.

I will go check it out tomorow along with the Marshall Cafe. See if they may be kind enough to grant us a beer special for a few hours. We have a couple of coins to rub together.
