It may be a good game to bust him out...i dont think we will need him next week and hopefully we can get a good lead early next week and rest some of the team and get other guys some additional playing time and game day experience.

Probably right...be fun to watch him play on D (ala Dion Sanders) but I haven't heard that he has practiced on D for months anyway.

It is a very legit question. He practiced at DB throughout the spring and it was said that he would play CB during the year when situations called for it. It was remarked by Jones that had we used him against Tulsa on certain plays last year we would have won. If he is the best and the situation calls for it, use him.

I thought of asking that earlier in the week but did not want to tip anything if there were other coaching staffs like GP and TCU lurking here.

It now seems not so far fetched that we may see some Sanders at DB this week...we DID have some trouble with DB's last week obviously, so he may be a great help.....way to forsee this Ralph.

SMU doesn't want to just sneak into bowl

UNIVERSITY PARK – SMU has essentially locked up a bowl berth in Hawaii, but the Mustangs (6-5, 5-2 Conference USA) are focused on getting to win No. 7 Saturday against Tulane (3-8, 1-6). SMU hasn't topped six wins since 1984, also the program's last trip to a bowl.

"Nobody wants to go out there and do just enough to get by," senior cornerback Bryan McCann said, "and that's what six wins is right now. We're not satisfied with it by any means."

Briefly ...
With injuries hurting SMU's secondary, coach June Jones said standout receiver Emmanuel Sanders could play some defensive back Saturday.

Emmanuel Sanders is nothing like Deion, because unlike SlimeTime, ES isn't afraid to hit someone.

Deion said those were "business decisions"
