We lost tonight, SMU will still go to a bowl. Rome was not built in a day, it was burnt in a day. I guess these kids will go to Hawaii. . Not bad.

Next week is a must win. It hurts to miss the opportunity to win the West. But that is a position very few of us ever expected. However, a win against Tulane and a bowl game is a very pleasant surprise on a season that we just wanted improvement.
We didn't give up and we played hard. We didn't get anyone else injured and have a shot at beating Tulane next week. The season isn't over an we have a chance to have a great season.

Focus on Tulane first and then the carrot of a bowl win and an 8 and 5 record. fantastic

Now is not the time to dispair-some of us have been waiting 25 years for NEXT WEEK. Beat Tulane.

This thread is right on. Tonight sucked, but we can still finish with seven wins and go bowling by beating the crap out of Tulane.

We are not going to lose to Tulane. Not in front of these kids who are SMU personified. This thing has turned. SMU might lose the game in Hawaii, it is just a step. I'm already thinking about TT. We are on the way up.

we finish 6-7 and it will be disappointing...but we still get the extra practice and the kids still get rewarded for their season with a trip to Hawaii. Not bad.

Exactly.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Also, let's not forget the 15 extra practices that will pay dividends for next year.

You couldn't be more correct. We have a true freshman QB who has played less than 5 games and very young team and we are 6 and 5. Good year already, next year will be better.
