Relax with the negativity!!!

C'mon guys...honestly, who thought we would have 6 wins at this point? We are young and have overacheived so far, yet we are still in agreat position to get to a bowl...any bowl at this point is great for our program. The C-USA championship talk was premature, and we were all excited to be talking about which bowl we preferred...and the players might have gotten a bit caught up in it too.
Bottom line, we are on the right track. Beat Tulane!

yes, i will not dispute PB had 6 wins, and a loss to rice upended our bowl hopes that year. that is a fact, and you are correct. PB is doing a great job now at PITT and both sides have moved on.
my point is that we are in an upswing in recruiting, publicity, attendance, and positivity with JJ. Let's keep it going, and not go back to the usual SMU-fan ways of expecting to lose. I trust JJ to take us where we are going. If you don't, that is fine and i respect your opinion.

I am impressed with what these coaches have done this season with a team of freshman and sophmores. We have been in every game except tcu and Marshall. This season has been a blast! We will beat tulane and on to the first bowl game since 84. Smu football is back!

In July I would have prayed for 4 or 5 wins. We already have 6.

It is hard to get everyone to buy into a belief when you have negativity (bagice) sputtering these boards. Dont get me wrong, I was all hyped and excited for the chance to have a conference USA championship game at Ford. But at the same time when you are negative on this board, you are taking away everything from these kids that our busting their butts for our satisfaction. We owe them our support. Without those guys fighting on the field these discussions would never happen. I am a Mustang and I will SUPPORT!
