USM vs. Tulsa

If Tulsa finds a way to play any defense whatsoever in the second half and can win, it greatly enhances our chances of a bowl regardless of the outcomes next weekend.

All these CUSA East Teams are pretty stout defensively UCF, Marshall, ECU-but the first West team with a defense will dominant this league.

Totally agree. On another thread I asked for your opinion on the 2010 class. My understanding is that some defensive help may be on the way.

Apparently very bad. Does not look like Tulsa is going to help us out at all.

Help me understand. We want 7 teems bowl eligible army notwithstanding. So Miss was already at 6. Tulsa will be eliminated making it them rice tulane utep Memphis. I'm not keeping up w this so I would have thought Tulsa losing would. What am I not accounting for?

we are in if Navy beats Army as long as the Hawaii Bowl definitely will pick us. With UABs loss there can not be 6 Seven win teams so since Hawaii has prefered choice they can pick us without having to choose a 7 win team instead.

Doubt S. Miss can win next week. My thought is we want as may 6 win teams as possible. I think Stallion's post was in this direction but if there are multiple 6 win teams without enough bowl slots then Hawaii is going to pick SMU above all others.

So then it reads like I'm figuring this correctly. If that's the case, them I don't know why people are upset Tulsa is trailing.

PS - Fan I hear you but you want your bowl eligible teams locked in. It's sitting right there for smu next week. Oh, and I had no problem talking about going for the conference title. We should have been. We're in the business if trying to win them not stumble into them.
